Fellowship of Christian Athletes Awards

Darwin Horan is a Colorado-based real estate developer with more than two decades in the business. Possessing one of Colorado's largest real estate portfolios, Darwin Horan's company, Ventana Capital, is well-established. Beyond his professional life, Mr. Horan actively participates in his community's events and organizations. Among them is the non-profit Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which bestowed on him its lifetime achievement award.
This award is one of many offered by the organization. The Grant Teaff Lifetime Achievement award honors individuals who demonstrate Christian values in their coaching efforts, building positive environments for their teams and instilling good character. The award was named after a former Baylor coach and member of the FCA Board of Trustees who fully embodied the organization's principles and enhanced the lives of the youths he coached.
A similar award the FCA presents is the Homer Rice Award, which is granted to athletic directors who have demonstrated devotion to their cause through making a significant impact on the organization and on the lives of athletes by keeping Christian values their number-one priority. The namesake of the award is a coach who helped make significant improvements to several struggling sports programs.
